Math-"name collection boxes"

We had fun making "name collection boxes" during math today.  It's important for children to understand that numbers can be represented in many different ways. Please help your child think of multiple ways to show numbers.

Monday - Green day -Gym

Tuesday - Blue day (no media because it's Tuesday)

Wednesday - Purple day - Early Release

Thursday - Red day - Gym

Friday - Orange Day

Soundwaters

On Thursday, we had Soundwaters visit our classroom to teach us about The Long Island Sound and the animals that live there. We learned about the food chain and got to touch many cool creatures. 

High Touch, High Tech

Our week ended up being a short one but luckily, the snow day didn't interfere with the two special science programs we had. On Monday, a scientist from High Touch, High Tech taught us all about weather.  We learned about air pressure, and what causes different weather. We watched an egg get sucked into a jar, play with tornado tubes and even made a cloud in the classroom
