Playing together

Sometimes a teacher just has to "gush".  After a jam packed week, and our first full week in a long time, a rainy Friday with no outdoor recess is not what I would have hoped for.  However, we had a terrific day. Everyone worked hard and did a great job on a usually difficult writing lesson, they earned a paw from another teacher for walking so nicely in the hallway, and they played extremely nicely together during indoor recess. Way to go Room 8!

Here are some snapshots of recess time. All children engaged in a game, puzzle, or other activity. No arguments or complaints. And no one left out. Might not sound like a big deal, but doesn't always happen and was very nice to see.  

Tie Dye Fun

Thank you to Mrs. Smith (Cooper's mom)  for helping us tie dye and especially for taking home the shirts and washing them all.  The children had lots of fun and they came out great. 

Week of Oct. 17th

It's a full week of school with some important events.  Tuesday is picture day and we will be tie dying t-shirts on Wednesday.  Don't forget to send in a short sleeve white T-shirt.  We will be wearing them on field trips and on field day so please  make sure it's big enough to last the year. 

Monday- Green day

Tuesday - Blue day - GYM 

Wednesday - Purple day 

Thursday- Red day - Media Center *return library books

Friday - Orange day

Springdale Sprint

It was a beautiful day to get some exercise and raise money for our school. The kids had a great time. 

Week of Oct. 5th

Wednesday -Green Day. SPRINGDALE SPRINT @1:50. Wear sneakers.  Parents and guests are welcome 

Thursday- Blue Day. Phys Ed. Wear sneakers. We will also be visiting the book fair.  Children will be making wish lists but you may send in money if you would like. OPEN HOUSE 6:00 PTO meeting in auditorium. 6:40 1st classroom presentation. 7:15 2nd classroom presentation.  (See my correction in previous post)
